About Us

Greetings from St. Benedict Catholic Church in Falcon, Colorado a mission parish on the high plains east of Colorado Springs, Colorado. We serve a small community that includes a number of military personnel stationed at Peterson and Shriever Air Force Bases.

Our parish dates back to January 2005 when a group of twenty area Catholics met to discuss the dream of forming a church in this community. Later that same year, the Colorado Springs Diocese approved the formation St. Benedict Parish.

St. Benedict’s has continued to grow at a steady pace. We do not have a dedicated worship space. Instead, we rent a school gymnasium for weekly Mass.

In July 2012, St. Benedict Parish purchased a thirty-five acre ranch that includes two houses and a large barn/loafing shed. Parishioners assisted with extensive clean-up of the property. We now have a place to call our own. The barn is our Parish Hall. One house serves as our church office. The other house will become a rectory for a future parish priest.

We are in the process of remodeling the Parish Hall into our church. We want to continue to spread the faith and grow the kingdom of God in this rural area.

Effective July 1, 2017, Father Jaimes Ponce became the first pastor of St. Benedict's.

If you are in the Colorado Springs area, we invite you to visit us.
