The transition from childhood to adulthood takes time; time to experience things differently, time to figure things out and time to lean what it means to be self-sufficient and responsible. St. Paul said it best when he wrote, “When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child and play with things of a child, but when I became a man, I set aside child-like things.” (1 Cor 13:11) Today, we call that time of change the “teenage years” and most closely associate it with everything young people go through during high school.
SBTC provides the place and financial support for these young Catholics to do things together; make better decisions together, solve problems together, and experience life together in the context of their faith. SBTC is their club with their decisions on what they want to do with the guidance of select adult supervisors.
SBTC provides teens with:
- a safe environment
- a positive opportunity for socializing and maturing with their peers as Catholics
- with Catholic support and guidance
SBTC is a social club that is a function of St. Benedict Parish, under the governance of the Pastor/Parish Director. SBTC operates under the auspices of the Pastoral Council. SBTC is in compliance with the Diocese’s Safe Environment rules and procedures.
