Elementary Religious Education

Registration

Registration begins on Sunday, August 17, before and after Mass.  Classes will start on Sunday, September 21 (Catechetical Sunday).  Cost is $40.00 for one child but no more than $100.00 per family.

Class Time

All classes are held for one hour following the 9:30 A.M. Mass.  Students are given a 10 minute break after Mass before class begins.

Phase II Confirmation will meet once a month after the 9:30 A.M. Mass (from 11:00am -12:00pm) at the Parish House beginning September 21. There will be a total of 10 classes.  Confirmation candidates must be 15 years of age by May 15, 2009.

Inclement Weather

In case of inclement weather and religious education classes must be cancelled, parents will be notified via a telephone tree.

Parent Meetings

Reconciliation meeting is November 5, 2008 at 7 p.m.  and First Communion meetings are February 8 & March 15, 2009

Sacrament Dates

First Reconciliation—January 17, 2009 at 10 a.m.; First Communion—April 26, 2009; Confirmation—May 17, 2009

Confirmation Prerequisite

Students must have attended Religious Education classes one year prior to receiving the Sacrament.

RCIA

The RCIA group for all those who would like to join the Catholic Church.  RCIA is for anyone over the age of seven who has never been baptized or was baptized in a church other than the Catholic Church.  Please contact Dr. Bauer for more information.
